The Baby John team, including Varun Dhawan, Atlee, and producer Murad Khetani, recently paid a visit to the famous Lalbaugcha Raja in Mumbai, seeking divine blessings amidst the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations.
Varun Dhawan, who recently made waves with his cameo in Stree 2, is gearing up for the action-packed film Baby John, set to hit screens this December. With Atlee and Khetani by his side, Varun was spotted soaking up the festive atmosphere as he went to the famous Lalbaugcha Raja to ask Lord Ganesha for his blessings.
On September 10, 2024, Varun, clad in a light blue shirt and denim jeans, made his way to the pandal, while Atlee and Murad Khetani were spotted in traditional kurta-pajamas. The trio posed together for the paparazzi as they navigated through the crowd, and in another clip, they were seen offering prayers with folded hands and smiling in front of Lord Ganesha’s grand idol. Baby John is one of the most eagerly awaited releases of 2024. Varun Dhawan’s rugged look, complete with long hair and a beard, has already captured the audience’s attention. The film promises high-octane action sequences featuring Varun battling his foes.
Joining Varun in the star-studded cast are actresses Keerthy Suresh and Wamiqa Gabbi in significant roles, alongside veterans Jackie Shroff and Rajpal Yadav. Directed by A. Kaleeswaran, Baby John is produced by Murad Khetani, Priya Atlee, and Jyoti Deshpande, with music by S. Thaman. The film is presented by Jio Studios, Atlee, and A for Apple Studios in collaboration with Cine1 Studios. It is slated for a grand theatrical release on December 25, 2024, with the Christmas date chosen to heighten the festive cheer.
Exclusive updates on the film’s promotional campaign have also surfaced. Sources suggest that the team will soon shoot a cameo featuring Salman Khan, adding more star power to the project. Additionally, fans can expect the first teaser of Baby John to drop around Diwali.
According to a source, “the purpose of attaching the teaser to both the Diwali releases, Singham Again and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, is to grab audience attention. “With a Christmas release lined up, the campaign will kick off with an action-packed teaser during Diwali.” They also shared, “Post-production is in full swing, and the team is excited to entertain audiences at the year’s end, positioning Baby John as a large-scale mass entertainer right from the get-go.”
On the work front, Varun Dhawan has a slew of exciting projects in the pipeline, including No Entry 2, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, and Bhediya 2. He is also starring in the spy series Citadel: Honey Bunny opposite Samantha Ruth Prabhu, set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on November 7, 2024.
Recently, Varun joined the cast of Border 2, a war film that has fans buzzing. Expressing his excitement on Instagram, Varun shared, “Being a part of Border 2 produced by JP sir and Bhushan Kumar is a monumental moment in my career. And working alongside my hero, Sunny Paaji, makes it even more special.”
