Pop sensation Justin Bieber arrived in Mumbai on Thursday (July 4) in the wee hours of the morning as he prepared to perform at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s pre-wedding event. According to several media reports, the singer will mesmerize guests with her performance at the couple’s sangeet ceremony, which is scheduled to take place on Friday, July 5. Several Bollywood celebrities, businessmen, and others are expected to attend the pre-wedding celebrations.
Bieber is back in India after seven long years. For the uninitiated, he announced his concert in India in 2022 but later canceled it due to ill health. If media reports are to be believed, the singer demanded a whopping Rs 83 crore from the Ambanis for performing at the sangeet ceremony.
Bieber is known to have accused more than international pop sensations like Rihanna, Beyonce, and Akon who have also performed at Ambani’s events in the past.
Rihanna, who performed at Anand and Radhika’s first pre-wedding event in Jamnagar, reportedly demanded Rs 74 crore, while Akon demanded around Rs 2-4 crore. According to reports, Shakira demanded Rs 10-15 crore for yet another pre-wedding mishap, and Katy Perry was paid Rs 45 crore to perform on a cruise.
Beyonce performed at Isha Ambani and Anand Parimal’s wedding and reportedly demanded 33 crores at the time.
Anant and Radhika’s sangeet ceremony will be held at their Antilia palace in Mumbai on July 5. The couple is scheduled to have a traditional and star-studded affair on July 12. Other singers expected to perform at the bash include Adele, Drake, and Lana Del Rey.
Anant and Radhika hosted a lavish pre-wedding bash in Jamnagar earlier this year where some of the biggest names were seen setting the stage on fire. Later, on another pre-wedding cruise, guests will be entertained by stars such as Katy Perry, Pitbull, The Backstreet Boys, and Italian opera artist Andrea Bocelli.
