Team India’s emerging fast bowler Harshit Rana has made a funny revelation. The Delhi player said that Virat Kohli teased him when he first met Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma. Harshit also revealed that Virat constantly helps him during practice and has played a major role in his development. Harshit Rana made his Test debut against Australia in Perth in November 2024. Since then, he has been a regular part of Team India.

When Harshit Rana met Anushka for the first time
In an interview with Men’s XP, Harshit Rana said, “I was meeting Anushka for the first time. I called her ‘Ma’am.’ Virat told me not to call her ‘Ma’am’, but ‘Bhabhi.’ I told him it was my first time meeting her. Then Virat told Anushka, ‘This is happening right in front of you, he was just throwing champagne at me outside.'” The young fast bowler further explained that Virat Kohli is a very funny person.

Even though Team India lost the third ODI against New Zealand in Indore on Sunday (January 18), Virat Kohli and Harshit Rana gave them a moment of relief. They shared a brilliant 99-run partnership off 69 balls. Harshit Rana scored his first ODI half-century, while Virat Kohli scored his 54th ODI century. Harshit was dismissed for 52, while Virat Kohli made 124 off 108 balls. Batting first, New Zealand scored 337, while Team India could only manage 296. The Black Caps won the series 2-1
