Urvashi Rautela is known for her self-obsession. Because of this, trolling has become a part of her lifestyle. Recently, the actress claimed that there is a temple named after her near the Badrinath temple. The Tirtha priests of Badrinath got angry at this statement.
Uproar over Urvashi’s statement, the priests got angry
Urvashi Rautela claimed in an interview with Dainik Bhaskar that a Urvashi temple had been built in her name, one kilometer away from the famous Badrinath temple of Uttarakhand.
Urvashi had called the temple of 108 Peeth her own. Tirtha priests associated with Badrinath got angry with the actress. Former Dharmadhikari of Badrinath Dham, Bhuvan Nautiyal, said that local devotees keep coming to the Maa Urvashi temple. Many religious events are held in the temple on the occasion of Navratri. Maa Urvashi Temple is associated with Lord Shiva. The former Dharmadhikari said that it is not right to associate the temple of the goddess with one’s name.
‘Urvashi should apologize for her statement.’
On Urvashi Rautela’s claim, Amit Sati, President of Brahmakapal Tirtha Purohit Samaj, said, ‘Urvashi’s statement has hurt the sentiments of Hindus. Urvashi should apologize for her statement; otherwise, be ready for the consequences.’
I wish that my temple should be built in South as well – Urvashi
Not only that, but in this interview, Urvashi Rautela stated, “In the previous one and a half years, I have worked with three huge celebrities of South like Chiranjeevi, Nandamuri Balakrishna, Pawan Kalyan. I wish that my temple could be built in the South as well. In Delhi’s Hindu College, students have worshipped me as Damdami Mai. This is an annual puja in which the students chose me.’
Let us tell you, Maa Urvashi temple is located in Baamni village of Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. Baamni village is about one kilometer away from Badrinath Dham. Most of the devotees who come to Badrinath Dham also visit this temple.
