Versatile television and Marathi cinema actor Yogesh Mahajan was found dead under tragic circumstances. The talented artist, known for his outstanding work in Hindi serials and local cinema, breathed his last while suffering from cardiac arrest.
Mahajan, 44, was busily enacting a lead role in the television serial Shiv Shakti: Tap Tyag Tandav. According to reports, on January 19, he was found unconscious in his flat, which is close to the shooting location.
Unraveling the Tragic Incident
According to a report by Aaj Tak, Mahajan was to join the sets for shooting on that day. However, the crew began worrying when he didn’t turn up. As his residence did not respond, team members forcefully entered his house and found Mahajan to be unresponsive.
In a desperate bid to save his life, the crew immediately rushed him to a nearby hospital. However, despite their speed, the actor was pronounced dead upon arrival. Medical experts established that cardiac arrest was the cause of death.
Final Goodbye and Family Response
Yogesh Mahajan’s cremation was conducted at Borivali West, Mumbai’s Gorai-2 crematorium on January 20. The family had made an official statement that was sad, to say the least. He leaves behind his wife and a seven-year-old son. His loss cannot be filled by anyone else.
A Versatile Talent Remembered
The prolific Mahajan portfolio included television shows and Marathi cinema. One of his final assignments was as part of the cast of Shiv Shakti: Tap Tyag Tandav. Over the years, he had given memorable performances for some of television’s most viewed series, Adalat, Jai Shri Krishna, Chakravarti Ashok Samrat, and Devon Ke Dev Mahadev to name a few. Also, he performed in Marathi films like Mumbaiche Shahane and Samsarachi Maya.
Bollywood in Shock
My colleagues and fans are mourning the loss of such a talented individual. Actress Suzanne Bernert, who had shared screen space with Mahajan, spoke to ETimes about her sorrow:
“I am devastated. Yogesh was not just an amazing actor but also a truly kind-hearted person. His positivity was infectious. The news of his untimely death is shocking beyond words.”
The sudden departure of Yogesh Mahajan has left a significant void in the entertainment sector undoubtedly pointing at the fragile nature of life and lingering impact of craft.
