In a heartfelt video, actress Tanushree Dutta revealed that since speaking out during the #MeToo movement in 2018, she has been subjected to ongoing harassment at home.
She said with a shaky voice that she plans to go to the police station to file a complaint. “Ever since I spoke the truth about the film industry, my life has become a nightmare,” she said. “I’m being tortured in my own house. I’m not even well. I’ll try to go tomorrow.”
Mental and Physical Health Affected
Tanushree said that she has been mentally disturbed for the last 4–5 years, and now she feels completely broken and sick. “I can’t live properly. My house is a mess. I can’t even do basic things.”
She also mentioned that she can’t hire domestic help because some people have sent fake maids into her house. These maids stole from her and created problems. “Now I have to do all the housework by myself,” she added.
Strange Noises and More Problems
She posted another video in which strange and loud noises can be heard coming from above her house and near her door. She said this has been happening since 2020, and no one in the building has helped her. “Every day, I hear banging and scary sounds, even at midnight. I gave up complaining,” she wrote.
Suffering from Health Issues
Tanushree said that she is suffering from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, a health issue caused by too much stress and pressure. “I pray every day just to stay mentally strong. Even today, I was very sick, but the noise didn’t stop. It was so loud I couldn’t bear it.”
She added, “I made a post yesterday, and today this noise started again. Maybe now people will believe me. There’s a lot more I need to say. I will mention everything in my police complaint.”

People Support Her
Many people online and in the media are now supporting Tanushree for bravely speaking out.
To refresh your memory, Tanushree accused Nana Patekar of mistreating her on a movie set back in 2018. She also said that director Vivek Agnihotri once asked her to undress and dance in front of actor Irrfan Khan during a scene for the movie Chocolate. Both men denied the allegations. Nana Patekar was later cleared.
Her Message Today
Now, Tanushree is once again raising her voice, saying that her struggles never really ended. She is still facing harassment, this time in her own home.
Her story is a strong reminder that sometimes the biggest battles are fought alone and silently behind closed doors.
