Popular influencer Orhan Awatramani, also known as Ori, was summoned by the Anti-Narcotics Cell on Wednesday. He has been taken into the investigation in a ₹252 crore drug case.

According to an Aaj Tak report, Ori has been ordered to appear at the ANC (Anti-Narcotics Cell) office in Ghatkopar today at around 10 am. He will be questioned there in connection with the drug case.

According to an India Today report, the Anti-Narcotics Cell extradited Taher Dola, son of drug trafficker Salim Dola, who worked with Dawood Ibrahim, from Dubai in August.

During interrogation, Taher Dola stated that Bollywood actors, models, rappers, filmmakers, and relatives of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim attended drug parties he organised in India and abroad.

According to a PTI report, Taher Dola claimed that drugs (mephedrone) were supplied at these parties. Among those who attended these parties were Shraddha Kapoor, her brother Siddharth Kapoor, Alisha Parkar (Haseena Parkar’s son), Nora Fatehi, Ori aka Orhan Awatramani, the popular filmmaker duo Abbas-Mustan, rapper Loca, and Baba Siddiqui’s son Zeeshan Siddiqui.

It should be noted that Shraddha Kapoor played the role of Dawood Ibrahim’s sister Haseena in the 2017 film Haseena Parkar, while her brother Siddharth Kapoor played Dawood Ibrahim.

Nora Fatehi Clarifies Allegations

Nora Fatehi, in a clarification after her name surfaced in the drug case, wrote,

I don’t go to parties, I’m always on flights, I’m a workaholic, I don’t have a personal life, I don’t associate with such people, and on my days off, I’m at the beach in Dubai or at home with my high school friends. I spend my entire day and night pursuing my dreams and goals.

Further, she wrote, “Don’t believe everything you read. It seems it’s so easy to use my name. But this time, I won’t let that happen. This has happened before; you tried to destroy me by spreading lies, but they didn’t succeed. I watched silently as everyone tried to tarnish my image, defame my name, and use me as clickbait. Please refrain from using my name and my picture in matters that have nothing to do with me. There will be a very heavy price to pay for this.”

Vasan Bala, the director of the highly anticipated film Jigra, recently issued an apology to Shraddha Kapoor’s fans after she praised the teaser trailer of the movie starring Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina. The apology came following backlash from Shraddha’s fanbase when Vasan failed to tag her in a previous post appreciating her work in Stree 2.

The teaser for Jigra, one of the most awaited films of 2024, was recently released and received a lot of attention, including praise from Shraddha Kapoor. On September 8, 2024, Shraddha took to her Instagram Stories to applaud the trailer, writing, “Ye toh theater mein bhai ke saath dekhna hai @siddhanthkapoor.” She also gave a “Kya kamaal ladki hai @aliaabhatt,” the user said, expressing gratitude to both Alia Bhatt and director Vasan Bala in particular. The film has amassed over Rs 270 crore in just seven days, including earnings from paid premieres. It is poised to surpass the Rs 300 crore nett mark in India by its second Friday. Considering Stree 2 was produced on a modest budget of Rs 120 crore, including print and advertising, the producers are already in a highly profitable position, expecting to earn over Rs 300 crore in profits. This figure doesn’t even account for the added value and momentum the success has given to Maddock’s Horror-Comedy Universe, which will likely see higher box office returns for future releases.

Stree 2 Spurs Production of Multiple Sequels

The first milestone for Stree 2 will be to surpass Gadar 2 worldwide. Given their comparable budgets and the fact that they are both sequels to huge hits, the analogy makes sense.Sequels are proving to be a surefire way to draw audiences to theaters. Directed by Kaushik, Stree 2 has reached a significant milestone, raking in over Rs 200 crore within just five days of its release.

To commemorate the film’s outstanding box office performance and record-breaking achievements, the Stree 2 team organized a lively celebration. A newly surfaced video features Tamannaah Bhatia, Kriti Sanon, and Shraddha Kapoor dancing to the track Aaj Ki Raat, with Tamannaah leading the signature step and the others joining in. Sunny Kaushal is also spotted in the video, joining in the fun.

In another clip, Tamannaah Bhatia, elegantly dressed in a black outfit, is seen grooving, while her boyfriend, actor Vijay Varma, cheers her on with enthusiastic whistles.
