According to SacNilk, ‘Dhurandhar’ opened with ₹27 crore (approximately $1.2 billion). This puts ‘Dhurandhar’ at the third spot among the highest-grossing Bollywood films on opening day this year. Only ‘War 2’ (₹52 crore) and ‘Chava’ (₹31 crore) are ahead of ‘Dhurandhar’.

 Dhanush and Kriti Sanon’s “Tere Ishq Mein” suffered losses after the release of “Dhurandhar.” The film’s earnings have seen a significant decline. On Friday, the eighth day, “Tere Ishq Mein” earned only ₹3.70 crore. This brings the film’s total collection to ₹87.35 crore in eight days.

Zootopia 2

The American animated movie “Zootopia 2” is also in theaters. The film earned only ₹7.5 million on Friday, the eighth day, bringing the total collection to ₹12.90 crore.

However, the advance bookings haven’t been as impressive as they initially were for Nandamuri Balakrishna. Meanwhile, news emerged that the South Indian actor’s film has been postponed from December 5th. The makers made the significant decision just hours before the premiere.

Nandamuri Balakrishna’s film, Akhanda 2, is directed by Boyapati Srinu. The teaser and trailer received a tremendous response among fans. According to recent ticket sales figures, Akhanda 2 surpassed Dhurandhaar. But why was the decision to postpone the film at the last minute? Even though everything was going well in terms of advance bookings, the film’s competitor, Dhurandhaar, was postponed?

Recently, 14 Reels Plus released a post on Twitter. It read, “With a heavy heart, we regret to inform you that Akhanda 2 will not be releasing as scheduled due to unavoidable circumstances. This is a very sad moment for us, and we truly understand the disappointment this brings to every fan and movie lover awaiting the film. We are doing our best to resolve this matter as quickly as soon as possible. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused. Your support means a lot to us. We promise to share a positive update very soon to our beloved fans.”

This was preceded by another tweet stating that all premieres are cancelled due to technical difficulties. However, overseas premieres will remain as scheduled.
