According to a report by Pinkvilla, the film’s lead character has been designed to align perfectly with Ranbir Kapoor’s personality and on-screen versatility. Unlike previous Dhoom films, which focused more on heist-centric plots, this installment is said to have deeper, character-driven arcs blended with slick, modern action. Kapoor’s look in the film is being kept under wraps, but insiders reveal it will be a complete transformation from any of his past roles.

A New Identity for the Franchise

Interestingly, Dhoom 4 will enormously veer away from YRF’s existing Spy Universe, which consists of Pathaan, War, and Tiger 3. The plan is to conceptualize and develop this project as a separate, standalone action universe with its own visual and thematic identity. Production is expected to kick off in Summer 2026, with large-scale action set pieces already being discussed.

Along the fans, so Ranbir In; But What About Hrithik?

Released first in 2023 by Ayan Mukerji, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani has reached a milestone. Now the magnum reached the market again with their second reprise on January 3, 2024_-on New Year’s Eve. The flick features Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Aditya Malhotra, and Kalki Koechlin. The film raked in Rs 1.90 crores at the box office on the day it was re-released.

After that, it was ranked as the second highest-grossing film in re-release.

The film saw a phenomenal opening and its makers increased its screens. The film had made 6 crores by the first weekend.

At the end of its first week, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani had earned 13 crores.

In an interview with Mid-Day, Khanna did not shy away from expressing his reservations, albeit reluctantly at first. “I hesitate to comment on this,” he remarked, “as my opinions often invite accusations of meddling. They’ve tarnished my image, claiming I comment on everything. Recently, I opined on Jackie Shroff’s son, and now this. But if Ramayana is being remade, comparisons with Arun Govil are unavoidable.”

Khanna lauded Arun Govil’s legendary portrayal of Lord Ram in Ramanand Sagar’s television series, deeming it unparalleled. He elaborated, “Govil set the benchmark for what Lord Ram should embody. Whoever steps into this role must radiate the divinity of Ram. The essence of Ram should not be tainted by real-life antics. If someone behaves like a ‘lampat chhichhora’ (a vulgar troublemaker) off-screen, it inevitably seeps into their on-screen portrayal. To embody Ram, one must abstain from indulgent partying or drinking. But who am I to dictate the casting?”

Criticism of Prabha’s Attempt in Adipurush

Khanna extended his critique to Prabhas, who played Lord Ram in Adipurush. “Despite his stardom, the audience did not accept him as Ram. Not because he lacks talent but because he didn’t exude the requisite demeanor. Similarly, Ranbir Kapoor—though a fine actor and the pride of the Kapoor lineage—must look and feel like Ram. Having just starred in Animal, where his negative traits were magnified, I fear this might disrupt the audience’s immersion.”

It’s now been revealed that Terry Notary, renowned for his stunt coordination in Avengers, has been working on this epic saga for over a year.

In a video shared by Instagram user Kishor Khabiya Jain, Terry Notary discussed his experience of working in India. When asked about his visit, Notary explained that he was working as the action director for Ramayana. He noted that this project marks his first experience working in India, a journey that has spanned approximately a year and a half. Describing his time in India, he remarked, “It’s crazy, it’s good.” Clarifying his use of the word “crazy,” Terry added, “There’s no stopping, always going.”

Kishor shared the video on Instagram, highlighting Terry’s contribution to Ramayana. In addition to his work with the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Notary has been integral to other blockbuster films like Avatar, The Adventures of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn, and the Planet of the Apes reboot series.
