Mahima and Mahender get married in an arranged marriage setup. Mahender, in his stubbornness to prove himself, gets busy in making Doctor Mahima into Cricketer Mahima. Mahender’s obsession is to reach the wall where his father had put his photos with all the famous cricketers and this obsession spoils the relationship between him and his wife Mahima. Here Mahima has her own struggle, on one hand she loses her job as a doctor, on the other hand she takes the pressure of becoming a cricketer on her head. Now whether Mahima is able to become a cricketer, whether her husband’s obsession of becoming famous comes down, for all these answers you will have to watch the film.

How is the film

Despite the strong acting of all the actors, the film seems a bit slow, in between the hands reach to scroll the phone. An atmosphere was created about the film that the film is somehow connected to Mahendra Singh Dhoni, whereas this is not the case at all. The film has actors like Janhvi Kapoor, Rajkumar Rao, Zarina Wahab, Kumud Mishra, Rajesh Sharma, Arjit Taneja, Dhirendra Gautam, the acting of all the actors in the film is excellent. Rajkumar Rao is seen as a helpless son, a failed person, a defeated cricketer. His character shows his hunger for fame, he has a great chemistry with Janhvi Kapoor. After watching the film you will believe that these two are actually husband and wife. Be it romantic scenes or emotional scenes, they really seem like a married couple who become each other’s strength. After the controversy, Janhvi Kapoor is once again seen in the role of a wife, a simple girl from an ordinary family who suppressed her hobbies for the sake of her family. Who herself had forgotten that she wanted to become something else and not a doctor. Janhvi’s acting is improving with every film, which is visible in this film as well. Her way of playing cricket shows that she was telling the truth that she had taken cricket training for two years, apart from this, Kumud Mishra holds the role of a strict father of an ordinary family, who just wants to see his son succeed. Zarina Wahab appears in two to three scenes and she does not have any special dialogues but in the end she turns the whole film around.

Direction

Sharan Sharma is the director of this film, and his work is good, this is his second film. Earlier, he had made his directorial debut with Dharma Production’s film Gunjan Saxena. Janhvi Kapoor was seen in the lead role in this film as well. The film Mr. and Mrs. Mahi has been made under the banner of Dharma Productions. The film has been jointly produced by Karan Johar and Zee Studios.
