Priyadarshan and Akshay Kumar to come together after 14 years
Priyadarshan is the lone Malayali director in Bollywood with the maximum number of hits to his credit. Having been away for three years, the industry expects a hit when he returns.
This time around, Akshay Kumar takes the lead in Priyan’s film. He’s had several hits with Priyadarshan before. Now, Priyadarshan and Akshay Kumar are working together again after 14 years. Bhoot Bangla is a movie that mixes horror and comedy. But the uniqueness of the star cast in the film does not end there. Tabu plays another important character in the film. Now, the Bollywood star has shared her joy of joining the film.
Tabu shared a picture of a clapboard from the location on Instagram. Tabu captioned the picture “We are trapped here.” This line indicates the horror nature of the film. Tabu is acting in a Priyadarshan film after 25 years. The last film they worked together was Snehitiye (the Tamil version of Rakhilipattu, which was released in Malayalam and Hindi versions seven years later) in 2000.
The film is currently being shot at Chomu Palace in Jaipur, the same location where Priyadarshan and Akshay Kumar shot Bhool Bhulayya. Chomu Palace appears in the film as a bungalow with some supernatural powers in Bhoot Bangla.
60 percent of the scenes in the film are shot here. That is why all the main stars of the film are participating in the shooting here. The shooting here will last for more than a month. Apart from Jaipur, Mumbai and London are the locations of the film. Wamiqa Gabbi, Paresh Rawal, Asrani, Rajpal Yadav, and others have portrayed various characters. The film is set to release in theatres in April 2026.
