However, his discharge from the hospital may take a few more days. Shreyas’ family members will arrive in Sydney soon to be with him and care for him during his recovery.

Shreyas was injured during the third ODI (October 25) played in Sydney. During Australia’s innings, in the 34th over, Alex Carey played an aerial shot off a delivery from Harshit Rana. Shreyas ran from point to the third man area and took a diving catch. During this, he lost his balance and injured his left rib.
It will take time for Shreyas to fully recover.
According to media reports, he suffered internal bleeding after the injury, which means it will take longer for him to fully recover. Therefore, it is difficult to provide a definitive timeline for his return.
Shreyas (31) will have to remain in the hospital for at least a week. He is currently not part of the Indian T20 team.
