
Shihan Hussaini Death: Actor and karate expert Shihan Hussaini died on March 25 at a private hospital in Chennai. He was undergoing treatment for blood cancer for the last few weeks.
Shihan Hussaini Death: Actor, karate and archery expert Shihan Hussaini died on Tuesday morning after battling blood cancer. His family confirmed the news of his death on Facebook. His body will be kept at his residence, High Command in Besant Nagar, Chennai, so that family, common people, and students can pay tribute. Later, his body will be taken to Royapettah Ameerunisa Cemetery, where he will be cremated.
Shihan Hussaini’s funeral
His family posted on Facebook, ‘I am very sad to inform you that HU has left us. HU will be at his residence in Besant Nagar till evening.’ Earlier, the family had planned to take his body to Madurai on March 25 at around 7 pm. However, as per the doctor’s advice, the funeral will take place at around 4 pm today.
Government helped
Husseini was recording his cancer journey by giving frequent updates on his social media pages. Seeing his posts, the Tamil Nadu government gave financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh for his cancer treatment. A few days before his death, Shihan Hussaini had announced that he would donate his body for medical research.
Shihan Hussaini’s film career
He started his acting career in 1986 with Kamal Haasan’s Punnagai Mannan. He then became a part of Rajinikanth’s Velaikaran, Bloodstone, and other Tamil films. He played the role of a karate coach in Vijay’s Badri. His last acting films include Vijay Sethupathi’s Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kadhal and Chennai City Gangsters.
Shihan Hussaini was a man of many talents
Apart from acting in films, he also appeared as a judge and host on many reality shows. He taught karate to superstar Pawan Kalyan. Shihan Hussaini was a multi-talented person who displayed his expertise in combat sports, sculpting, martial arts, and archery.
