Tripti Dimri, who made her Bollywood debut with Imtiaz Ali’s film Laila Majnu, needs no introduction today. However, there was a time when her family didn’t want her to pursue a career in films. She faced numerous taunts from society and relatives. Tripti has revealed that her relatives warned her parents that if she entered films, no one would marry her.
Recently, Tripti participated in a conversation as part of Katrina Kaif’s beauty brand, K-Beauty by Katrina. During this, she shared details about her struggles. Tripti said, “When I came to Mumbai, it was very difficult for me. I would leave home every day to attend auditions. During auditions, there would be 50-60 people in one room. People, society, and relatives said terrible things to my parents. They asked why they had sent me into this profession. They said I would go completely astray, get involved with the wrong crowd, and make bad decisions for myself. They even said no one would marry me.”
There Was a Time When I Lost Hope – Tripti Dimri
In the interview, Tripti also spoke about her struggles in Mumbai. “There was a time when I lost hope. I would wake up in the morning with no work. But one thing I knew was that I couldn’t return home. I couldn’t go back and tell them I hadn’t achieved anything.”
Tripti Attended Every Show of Her Film for 7 Days
During the conversation, Tripti shared that when her first film Laila Majnu was released, she attended every show for seven days. She said, “My friends called me crazy, but I wanted to see the audience’s reaction. I was thrilled to see myself on the big screen. I remember my father called me after watching the film, and he was so happy.”
Let us inform you that Tripti Dimri will soon be seen in Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video alongside Rajkumar Rao. The film is set to release on October 11. Additionally, Tripti will appear with Kartik Aaryan in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, which is slated for release on November 1, during Diwali.
