Pune police commissioner Amitesh Kumar has served a show-cause notice on Manorama Khedkar, who is the sarpanch (head) of Bhalgaon village in Ahmednagar. In a recent viral video from 2023, he was seen brandishing a pistol at a farmer during a heated dispute over a piece of land. no one physically seemed to get the message.
Sources said that Manorama Khedkar has been given 10 days to respond to the notice as to why his gun license should not be canceled.
The Pune Rural Police has also registered a case against him under the Arms Act. Finally, he acted on the farmer’s complaint. He alleged that Manorama Khedkar and others threatened him in a land dispute.
In a video clip that surfaced after the Pooja Khedkar controversy, Manorama Khedkar is seen verbally attacking a farmer with a pocket pistol.

In another development, the Pune police seized Pooja Khedkar’s used private luxury sedan on which she affixed a Maharashtra government sticker and illegally installed a red-blue beacon.
