Smriti and Palash were supposed to get married on November 22nd, but after the sangeet ceremony on November 22nd, the wedding was postponed. The singer’s mother revealed what happened on the sangeet night.
Cricketer Smriti Mandhana and singer-filmmaker Palash Muchhal were supposed to get married on November 23rd, but a day before the wedding, news broke that the wedding had been postponed. Now, Palash’s mother, Amita Muchhal, has revealed what happened on the sangeet night.
Palash and Smriti’s sangeet ceremony took place on November 22nd, several videos of which went viral on social media. In these videos, Smriti and Palash were seen dancing together. The couple was supposed to tie the knot the next day. However, before that, news came that Smriti’s father, Srinivas Mandhana, suffered a heart condition and had to be hospitalised. Subsequently, news came that Palash’s health had also deteriorated and he had been taken to the hospital.
Now, Palash’s mother, Amita Muchhal, has provided information about her son’s health and also explained what happened on the night of the sangeet.
Speaking to Hindustan Times, Amita Muchhal said that Palash is very attached to his uncle and they are very close. When his health deteriorated, Palash was the first to say that they would not perform the wedding rituals until his uncle was completely well.
She explained that seeing Smriti’s father’s condition had a deep impact on Palash.
“We didn’t let him go out after the haldi ceremony, but he continued to cry and became ill and was kept in the hospital for four hours. He was given an IV drip and underwent an ECG. Other tests came back normal. But the stress is immense,” she said. Palash’s sister was also seen visiting her brother at the Mumbai hospital.
Amitha explained that Smriti’s father was pleased on the night of the sangeet, and they danced all night. The day before, he had danced a lot, was very happy, and had been posting stories on Instagram. We were preparing for the wedding procession, and then he felt unwell. He didn’t tell us at first, but when the pain worsened, an ambulance was called.
Meanwhile, Palash Muchhal was being accused of cheating on Smriti. His chat with a woman is going viral on social media, in which he is seen expressing the difficulties of his long-distance relationship and asking her to come swimming. However, the authenticity of these chats has not been confirmed.
Palash and Smriti have been dating for six years. The wedding was scheduled to take place on November 23, 2025, in Smriti’s hometown, Sangli, but the wedding has now been postponed. Following the news of the postponement, Smriti and her team have removed all photos and videos related to the wedding and proposal from social media.
