Mumbai Police Issues Traffic Advisory for BKC Motorists from August 28-30: Key Details Inside
Mumbai Police issued a traffic advisory on Wednesday for motorists ahead of the Global Fintech Fest 2024, set to take place at the Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) from August 28 to August 30.
According to an official traffic notification from the Mumbai Traffic Police, “Due to a significant event being held at the Jio World Convention Centre, BKC from 28th August to 30th August, increased vehicular traffic is anticipated in BKC from 9 am to 8 pm.”
The police have advised motorists to consider alternative routes to avoid potential traffic jams in the area. The advisory reads, “Commuters are advised to steer clear of the BKC thoroughfare and instead use alternative routes such as JVLR, SCLR, and the Eastern Freeway to reach their destinations.”
An official stated that traffic congestion is expected around the BKC area due to the event at the Jio World Convention Centre. The official further added that the event is expected to draw a large crowd, potentially leading to heavy vehicular traffic and congestion in the area.
Global Fintech Fest 2024
The Global Fintech Fest is one of the premier fintech conferences held annually, organized by the Payments Council of India (PCI), the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), and the Fintech Convergence Council (FCC).
As per the event’s official website, “The Global Fintech Fest 2024, marking the fifth edition of the conference, has significantly expanded from its previous editions, and will focus on the “Blueprint for the Next Decade of Finance: Inclusive, Resilient, and Responsible AI.”

This year’s theme highlights our commitment to tackling the most pressing challenges and opportunities within the financial sector.”
