Ajit Pawar, who had arrived in Baramati for election campaigning, was on board at around 8:45 am in Baramati, Pune district. The plane was engulfed in flames upon crashing. The plane was completely burned. Ajit Pawar, along with three others on board, died on the spot. Eyewitnesses reported that Pawar was taken to the hospital.
An official statement from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) stated that no one survived the Baramati plane crash. Five people died in the accident, including three passengers, a pilot, and a crew member. However, the cause of the plane crash remains unclear. NCP leader Supriya Sule left for Baramati upon hearing the news of the accident.
