N. Chandrababu Naidu’s Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and Nitish Kumar’s Janata Dal (United) are key for the NDA, with 28 seats between them. Both the parties have reaffirmed their support to the NDA and will attend the alliance meeting today.
As leaders of both the NDA and INDIA alliances fly to Delhi for meetings after the Lok Sabha results, Nitish Kumar and his former ally RJD chief Tejashwi Yadav are said to be on the same plane.
An NDTV report claimed that the two leaders are on their way to Delhi as both alliances begin negotiations to secure the numbers. The Election Commission of India has declared the results of all 543 Lok Sabha seats that went to polls from April 19 to 1. until June The Congress won 99 constituencies and the BJP 240, falling short of a majority of 272 seats.
The NDA will meet today in Delhi under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Kumar is in Delhi for the NDA meeting, news agency PTI reported citing sources.

In his victory speech at the party headquarters in Delhi, Prime Minister Modi acknowledged the contribution of Kumar and Naidu to the success of the NDA in Bihar and Andhra Pradesh. In his X message, Naidu expressed gratitude to the people of Andhra Pradesh, saying, “The people of Andhra Pradesh have given us an important mandate that reflects their faith in our union and its vision for the state. We’ll rebuild Andhra Pradesh together and restore its grandeur..“
Tejashwi Yadav recently hinted at “significant political developments” in Bihar after the Lok Sabha election results. Yadav claimed that relations between Nitish Kumar and BJ were strained as reported by PTI.
