Tickets for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 have gone on sale, with entry-level tickets starting at just ₹100 in India.
This tournament is being jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka.
New Delhi: The International Cricket Council today announced the start of ticket sales for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026. To maximize access to this major event, ticket prices have been kept historically low in the initial phase.
Ticket Sales and Pricing
Ticket sales began today at 6:45 PM IST on the official website https://tickets.cricketworldcup.com/. Entry-level ticket prices start at ₹100 in India and ₹1000 in Sri Lanka. The ICC has put over 2 million tickets on sale in the first phase, aiming to enhance the in-stadium cricket viewing experience.

This 10th edition of the T20 World Cup will be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka. The tournament will run from February 7 to March 8, with matches played at eight venues across both countries. The tournament will begin with a match between Pakistan and the Netherlands in Colombo, followed by a match between the West Indies and Bangladesh in Kolkata. India will play its first match against the USA in Mumbai. Venues in India include the Narendra Modi Stadium (Ahmedabad), MA Chidambaram Stadium (Chennai), Arun Jaitley Stadium (New Delhi), Wankhede Stadium (Mumbai), and Eden Gardens (Kolkata). In Sri Lanka, matches will be held at the R. Premadasa Stadium (Colombo), Sinhalese Sports Club Cricket Ground (Colombo), and Pallekele International Cricket Stadium (Kandy).
What did ICC and BCCI officials say?
ICC CEO Sanyog Gupta stated that the goal of pricing tickets starting at ₹100 and LKR 1000 is to keep affordability at the heart of the plan, allowing fans of all sizes to participate in this cricketing extravaganza. He stated that the 2026 season, featuring 20 teams and 55 matches, will be the biggest T20 World Cup in history.
BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia expressed his delight at the move, saying that tickets available for as low as ₹100 have multiplied the excitement surrounding the tournament. He highlighted India’s passion for cricket and promised the best match-day experience. Sri Lanka Cricket CEO Ashley de Silva also expressed his pride in the event and urged fans to secure their seats as soon as possible. The tournament is set to be a thrilling one, with 55 matches between 20 team.
