Dhurandhar 2 Paid Premieres: Fans of ‘Dhurandhar 2’ in the South have received a major shock.
In several locations across the South, the film’s paid previews have been cancelled ahead of schedule. Let’s find out the reason behind this.
Ranveer Singh’s upcoming film, ‘Dhurandhar 2’, was scheduled to hold paid previews in several cinemas today. However, the paid premiere shows slated for Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana were cancelled just a few hours before their scheduled start time. Instead of these regional-language screenings, the film’s original Hindi version will now be screened. The reason for this last-minute cancellation is the unavailability of the Tamil and Telugu versions of the film.

‘Dhurandhar 2’ Shows Cancelled
The film’s paid preview shows were scheduled to begin on Wednesday evening at 5:30 PM; however, cinema chains announced that the Tamil paid preview shows had to be cancelled due to the unavailability of the Tamil version.
They further stated that Hindi paid preview shows would now be screened in place of the cancelled ones. Additionally, while apologizing for the inconvenience caused, they confirmed that the process of issuing refunds to those who had purchased tickets has already begun.
Dubbing Work Incomplete in the South
According to reports, the delay stems from logistical hurdles in delivering the film’s content to the cinemas. Specifically, while the Hindi version of ‘Dhurandhar 2’ has successfully reached cinemas across the country, the accompanying subtitle packages are still expected to arrive shortly.
Reports also suggest that although the filmmakers had dispatched the Hindi version of the film to the cinemas, the dubbing work for the Tamil and Telugu versions remains incomplete. This delay in post-production ultimately made it impossible to screen the film in the regional languages, thereby necessitating the cancellation of the premieres. The Film Could Benefit
Directed by Aditya Dhar, ‘Dhurandhar 2’ is one of the most anticipated films of 2026. The film is set to release worldwide on March 19. It is expected to benefit from the Eid weekend. There is considerable excitement among the public regarding the film. It features an ensemble cast of major stars, including Ranveer Singh, Sara Arjun, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal.
