Dharmendra passed away in 2015. Despite his passing, he is still being remembered in various ways. Videos and photos from the BAFTA Awards ceremony are going viral on social media, showing tributes to certain artists, including Dharmendra.

A viral video shows Jessie Ware singing Barbra Streisand’s song “The Way We Were” on stage, paying tribute to those from the film world who passed away last year.

In this in-memorial segment, Jessie remembered icons like Diane Keaton, Terence Stamp, Catherine O’Hara, Rob Reiner, Gene Hackman, Terence Stamp, Robert Duvall, Tom Stoppard, Brigitte Bardot, Lalo Schifrin, MichaelMadsen, and Val Kilmer. Among these, she also mentioned Indian actor Dharmendra.

This Hindi film shines at the BAFTA Awards

Farhan Akhtar-produced Indian film “Boong” has won a major victory among the winners of the BAFTA 2026. The Manipuri-language debut feature film “Boong” was the only Indian nominee at this year’s BAFTA.

Meanwhile, “Boong” made history by becoming the first Indian film to win a BAFTA Award in the Best Children’s & Family Film category. The film was directed by Laxmipriya Devi and produced by Farhan Akhtar.

The makers, including Farhan Akhtar, Ritesh Sidhwani, Laxmipriya Devi, and Alan McAlex, were present to receive the award at the event held at London’s Royal Festival Hall.
