Delhi blast impacts Ram Charan’s film: Shooting was scheduled for November 15-16 near the Red Fort, bookings cancelled after the blast
On November 10, the Delhi Blast, a terrorist Attack near the Red Fort Metro Station, killed 13 people, leaving many injured. Ram Charan’s upcoming film, Peddi, was scheduled to be shot a short distance from the site of the blast. He had previously obtained permission to shoot at the Red Fort, but now, following the blast, all bookings have been cancelled.
According to a Times of India report, some patchwork was pending for Ram Charan’s upcoming film, Peddi, for which the team had received permission to shoot in the Red Fort and its surrounding areas. However, this schedule has now been changed.
Ram Charan’s team was scheduled to shoot at the Red Fort and surrounding locations on November 15 and 16, but due to the cancellation of bookings, the shoot will now be impossible.
Rashmika Mandanna was also scheduled to shoot for her upcoming film near the Red Fort, although there has been no news of its cancellation yet.
Ram Charan’s film, Peddi, is scheduled for release on March 27, 2026. Shooting is almost complete. Parts of the film have been shot near the Red Fort, although some patchwork remains. Janhvi Kapoor stars alongside Ram Charan in the lead role. Actors Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, and Divyenndu also appear in pivotal roles. In addition to Delhi, the film was shot in Hyderabad, Sri Lanka, and Pune.
The film’s music was composed by A.R. Rahman, and its digital rights were acquired by Netflix.
On November 10th, at around 6:51 p.m., the signal turned green near the Red Fort Metro station. As vehicles moved forward, a moving i20 car exploded. The powerful explosion ignited flames. Most of the nearby vehicles were destroyed. The blast killed 13 people and injured many more. Two days later, a severed hand was found 300 meters from the blast site.
