Dave Grohl’s Daughter Violet, 18, Deactivates Instagram Amid Reports of Musician Father Welcoming a Child Outside of Marriage
Dave Grohl’s eldest daughter, Violet, has seemingly deactivated her Instagram account following recent news that her father welcomed a child outside of his long-term marriage. On September 10, Grohl publicly vowed to work toward regaining his family’s trust after the news surfaced.
The Foo Fighters frontman shared a statement on his Instagram, in which he addressed the birth of his new child. While he expressed his commitment to being a responsible father to the baby, he also acknowledged his efforts to repair his 23-year marriage to Jordyn Blum and rebuild the faith in their three kids, Ophelia, age 10, Violet, age 18, and Harper, age 15.
Violet’s social media presence has remained silent since the incident, though it’s unclear when she deactivated her Instagram account.
Earlier this year, at the Glastonbury Festival in June, Grohl introduced Violet on stage before performing a track from his latest album But Here We Are. The rocker affectionately called her his “favorite singer in the world” before the duo performed Show Me How, a song Grohl said he wrote for his late mother, who was also Violet’s grandmother. He proudly cheered, “That’s my girl!” as they completed their performance.
In 2022, Grohl and his family, including Violet, Harper, Ophelia, and Blum, made a public appearance at the Grammy Awards, smiling together as a family. Grohl stayed true to his rock star persona, donning black-rimmed glasses, while his wife wore an elegant black off-shoulder sequined dress adorned with white lace. Violet sported a chic blazer dress with knee-high boots and bold red lipstick, while Harper stunned in a vintage floral outfit. Ophelia charmed in a floaty ombre dress accessorized with a gold purse.
Known for being a devoted father, Grohl shared in a 2009 An interview that fatherhood shifted his priorities. Once accustomed to spending nine out of twelve months on tour, he admitted that being away from his children for more than twelve days had become almost unbearable.
