There is a long story behind Ashram coming in the form of a web series. According to IMDB, in 2013 Prakash Jha wanted to make Arjun Rampal’s Satsang. However, the script of the film could not be finalized. Work on it was started again in 2017. This time Ajay Devgan and Amrita Rao were also signed. But then Prakash Jha changed the character and decided to sign Bobby Deol. Finally, this project came out in the form of an Ashram web series.
