YouTube personality Ranveer Allahbadia, widely recognized as BeerBiceps, is embroiled in a spiraling controversy due to an unsettling query posed on the platform India’s Got Latent. The social media storm erupted after Allahbadia presented a contestant with a highly inappropriate hypothetical dilemma, questioning whether they would rather passively witness their parents in an intimate act or intervene once to cease it. Despite issuing a public apology on Monday, the backlash has only intensified, with critics continuing to condemn his insensitivity.
Among the notable figures speaking out against Allahbadia is acclaimed singer B Praak, who has not only voiced his disapproval but also taken decisive action by canceling his scheduled appearance on the YouTuber’s podcast.
B Praak finally took to the press to cancel his participation in the chat on Ranveer’s podcast and denounced the statement as utterly vile. “The shamelessness of such a statement is simply unfathomable,” he noted. The statement against the indiscretion of the YouTuber has evoked further waves of disapproval, with several in the public sphere echoing outrage.
After all this, B Praak came up with a video message on Instagram to convey his distaste to his followers.
Speaking in Hindi, he stated, “I was supposed to feature on BeerBiceps’ podcast, but we have unequivocally decided against it. Why? Because we cannot endorse or associate with someone whose mindset is so appalling. The language he employed on Samay Raina’s show was deplorable.”
He further lambasted Allahbadia’s remarks, emphasizing that such discussions were a direct affront to Indian values. “This is not our culture, not even remotely. What kind of conversation is this about one’s parents? What kind of humor do you call this? Is this the definition of comedy? Encouraging the use of profane language, instigating others to do the same—what is this generation even thinking?” he questioned, his frustration palpable.
Additionally, B Praak criticized Allahbadia’s apparent contradiction—espousing spiritual ideologies while concurrently exhibiting questionable judgment. “Ranveer, you claim to advocate for Sanatan Dharma, you speak of spirituality, and yet, your thought process is so fundamentally flawed? You invite revered figures onto your podcast, engage with intellectuals, and yet your perspective is this narrow?” he rebuked.
Expressing deep concern about the ramifications of such content on impressionable audiences, B Praak implored digital creators to act responsibly and refrain from propagating discussions that could erode societal values.
As the controversy continues to escalate, an older video featuring comedian Tanmay Bhat has resurfaced, reigniting scrutiny over Allahbadia’s intentions. In the viral clip, Tanmay openly challenges Ranveer’s self-professed detachment from online validation, branding him a “views-obsessed capitalist.” While Ranveer insists that his focus remains solely on content creation rather than audience reception, Tanmay dismisses this claim outright, asserting, “No one is more fixated on numbers than you. You care about nothing but engagement metrics.”
With public sentiment heavily skewed against him, Allahbadia finds himself at the center of an increasingly volatile debate, raising broader questions about accountability in digital discourse.
