An FIR has been registered against the supporters of the leftist student organization in the case. It is being told that a university professor is associated with the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC).
The painting was made on the wall near Gate No. 3 of the university. It was also written that fascist forces should be eliminated. It is not yet known which organization was involved in making the painting.
Leftist organization SFI said – We do not support separatism
Meanwhile, Abhinab Basu, leader of the leftist organization Students Federation of India (SFI) in Jadavpur University, said – We do not support separatism. We are against the atrocities on minorities in BJP-ruled states.
Jadavpur University professor and TMC organization member Om Prakash Mishra said – We are against any posters and graffiti that support separatist ideas.
2 students were injured by the minister’s car
There were also protests in Jadavpur University in the past few days. On March 1, during a leftist protest on the campus, two students were injured when the car of the state Education Minister Bratya Basu and another vehicle accompanying him allegedly hit them.
An FIR was also registered against Minister Basu, professor and TMC leader Om Prakash Mishra in a case related to violence.
When Om Prakash Mishra reached the campus after the March 1 incident, students associated with leftist organizations raised slogans: We want freedom from the dictatorship of BJP-TMC.

Student union elections have not been held in the university for 5 years.
