Alpha: Alia Bhatt and Sharvari’s YRF Spy Universe Film Slated for Christmas 2025 Release
The much-awaited Alpha, featuring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari in pivotal roles, has finally locked in its release date. This female-led spy thriller, which introduces both actresses into the YRF Spy Universe, will premiere in theaters on Christmas 2025.
Today, October 3, 2024, the creators behind Alpha took to Instagram to unveil the film’s title and key cast members—Alia Bhatt and Sharvari—along with director Shiv Rawail and producer Aditya Chopra. The post also confirmed the film’s theatrical release on December 25, 2025, coinciding with the Christmas holiday season. Fans can expect the film to be released in multiple languages, including Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.

In an earlier exclusive by Pinkvilla, it was revealed that Bobby Deol has been cast as the main villain in this action-packed film, with Anil Kapoor also rumored to be part of the project. Back in July, Alia Bhatt unveiled the film’s title in a captivating teaser, which had her voiceover declaring, “Greek alphabet ka sabse pehla akshar aur humare program ka motto. Sabse pehle, sabse tezz, sabse veer. Sheher me ek jungle hai har dhyaan se dekho toh humesha raj karega kya?
