The producer has threatened to take legal action against Khanna for leaving the film 10 days before shooting began.
Entertainment Desk, New Delhi. After the success of Dhurandhar, Akshaye Khanna has been embroiled in controversies. Just a few days ago, news surfaced that he had stepped away from Ajay Devgn’s big film, Drishyam, after receiving widespread love for Aditya Dhar’s directorial venture, “Dhurandhar.”
He left the suspense thriller just days before shooting began, angering the film’s makers. The producers of Drishyam 3 have declared themselves toxic, stating they will take legal action against Akshay Khanna. The producer shared the inside details of how this feud between the makers of ‘Drishyam 3’ and the veteran actor Akshay Khanna began.

Speaking to Bollywood Hungama, the film’s producer, Kumar Mangat Pathak, accused Akshay Kumar of being unprofessional and made it clear that he would take legal action against Akshay Khanna. He stated that Akshay had agreed to do ‘Drishyam 3’, but 10 days before the shoot, he refused to do the film.
In this exclusive interview, Kumar Mangat Pathak further said, “We had signed an agreement with Akshaye Khanna. After talking to him, his fee was also locked in. He insisted on wearing a wig in the film, but director Abhishek Pathak explained to him that this would create continuity issues and was not practical. Akshay understood this and withdrew his demand. However, his lackeys advised him that he would look better if he wore a wig.” Akshay had no work at one point
Calling Akshay Khanna to be proud of the success of Dhurandhar, the producer said, “Abhishek was ready to talk to him, but later he told us that he didn’t want to do the film. We even signed an agreement and gave him an advance. There was a time when Akshay Khanna had nothing, and I made Section 375 with him. At that time, many people told me about his unprofessional behavior and said that his energy was toxic on set.”
I have sent him a legal notice – Kumar Mangat Pathak
Kumar Mangat Pathak further said, “I have suffered a lot due to his behavior. I will take legal action and have sent him a notice, but I have not received a response yet.”
The producer also confirmed Akshaye Khanna’s replacement and Jaideep Ahlawat’s entry in ‘Drishyam 3’ and said, “Drishyam is a big brand, it doesn’t matter if he is in the film or not. By God’s grace, we have got a better actor than him.”
