Dharmendra Death: Dharmendra passes away at the age of 89; Amitabh, Hema and his entire family arrive at the Vile Parle crematorium

Bollywood’s “He-Man,” veteran actor Dharmendra, has bid farewell to this world. On November 24th, the 89-year-old Dharmendra breathed his last, leaving the entire Bollywood and the entire nation in mourning.

After battling for life for several days, Dharmendra finally accepted defeat today. From Hema Malini to Esha Deol, everyone was seen at the Vile Parle Pawan Hans crematorium.

Dharmendra passes away at the age of 89

Bollywood’s “He-Man,” Dharmendra, is no longer with us. He departed this world on Monday, November 24th. At the age of 89, Dharmendra breathed his last at his Juhu home. He had been in critical condition for a long time. He was discharged from Breach Candy Hospital on November 12th at the request of his family. He has been undergoing treatment at home since then. Dharmendra’s last rites were performed at the Pawan Hans crematorium in Vile Parle. The entire Deol family and many cinematic luminaries were present. Hema Malini, Esha Deol, Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, and even Amitabh Bachchan were present with tears in their eyes. It is reported that Dharmendra’s eldest son, Sunny Deol, lit the funeral pyre.

Dharmendra’s passing marks the end of an era in Hindi cinema. It is both tragic and moving that the motion poster for his next film, “Ekkis,” was released just on Monday. Dharmendra had been experiencing breathing problems for nearly a month, following which he was hospitalised. His condition deteriorated, and he was admitted to the ICU. Despite all efforts, Dharmendra lost his battle with age and illness. His passing has dealt a severe blow to the film industry.

Hema Malini and Esha Deol arrived

Hema Malini, Esha Deol, and other family members, along with all the actor’s close friends, were seen at the Pawan Hans crematorium. Amitabh Bachchan also arrived at Vile Parle Pawan Hans to bid his last farewell to his dear friend farewell. Tragically, the actor passed away just 14 days before his 90th birthday.

Dharmendra’s family gathered together for his final farewell. The entire Bollywood industry gathered in large numbers to pay their last respects. Besides Amitabh Bachchan, celebrities like Abhishek Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, and Salim Khan arrived at the Vile Parle cremation ground.

Hospitalised after breathing problems

Before being discharged from Breach Candy Hospital, it was reported that Dharmendra was on a ventilator for two days. He was hospitalised on November 10th after experiencing breathing problems. It should be noted that he was last admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital on October 31st. While reports suggested he was admitted due to breathing problems, sources close to him stated that he was admitted for a routine checkup.

The actor was set to celebrate his 90th birthday on December 8th.

It should be noted that the actor was soon to celebrate his 90th birthday on December 8th, but this birthday celebration remained incomplete. Dharmendra was born on December 8th, 1935, in Nasrali, a village in the Ludhiana district of Punjab, British India. His real name is Kewal Krishan Deol, who is known in the film world as Dharmendra. He was born into a Punjabi Jat family to Kewal Krishan and Satwant Kaur. Dharmendra’s ancestral village is Dango, near Raikot, Pakhowal tehsil, Ludhiana.

Spent his childhood in Sahnewal village, where his father was the principal of the same school.

The actor spent his early life in Sahnewal village and attended the Government Senior Middle School in Lalton Kalan, Ludhiana. His father was the principal of the village school.

At the age of 19, Dharmendra wed Prakash Kaur.

Dharmendra’s first marriage was with Prakash Kaur in 1954, at the age of 19, before entering the film industry. They have two sons, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol, and two daughters, Vijeta and Ajita.

Hema Malini entered Dharmendra’s life.

After entering films, Hema Malini entered Dharmendra’s life, and he married her. This marriage sparked considerable controversy. It was reported that Dharmendra and Hema Malini converted to Islam for this purpose. However, when these rumors began to circulate during a political campaign, Dharmendra claimed that he remained a Hindu and that his family was Arya Samaji. He and Hema Malini worked together in several films in the 1970s, including “Sholay.” He has two daughters with Hema Malini, Esha Deol and Ahana Deol.

Dharmendra’s Debut with “Dil Bhi Tera Hum Bhi Tere”

Superstar Dharmendra made his debut in 1960 with “Dil Bhi Tera Hum Bhi Tere.” He first gained popularity in the mid-1960s with films like “Aaye Milan Ki Bela,” “Phool Aur Patthar,” and “Aaye Din Bahar Ke.” His numerous on-screen roles in Hindi films earned him the moniker “He-Man” of India. However, he gained recognition among audiences with the 1966 film “Phool Aur Patthar.” In this romantic drama, Dharmendra appeared opposite Meena Kumari.
