Abhinav Kashyap, who has directed films like Dabangg with Salman Khan and Besharam with Ranbir Kapoor, has recently called Salman Khan a gunda. Abhinav has said many things not only about Salman but also about his family.
In a recent interview with The Screen, Dabangg director Abhinav Kashyap said, “Salman never gets involved. He has no interest in acting, and hasn’t for the last 25 years. He does a favour by coming to work. He prefers the power that comes with being a celebrity over acting, but he is not interested in acting. He is a gunda. I didn’t know this before Dabangg. Salman is rude, a dirty person.”
“They are vindictive people. They control the entire system. If you don’t agree with them, they come after you.”
In the conversation, Abhinav also said that his brother Anurag Kashyap worked in Salman Khan’s film Tere Naam in the year 2003. Following this, Anurag Kashyap cautioned him when he signed on to Salman’s movie Dabangg.
Before this, after actor Sushant Singh Rajput passed away, Abhinav Kashyap accused Salman and his family of ruining his career. Abhinav said that the Khan family, Arbaaz, and Sohail conspired to remove him from Dabangg 2. They were threatening him in an attempt to control his career. Arbaaz Khan stopped Abhinav’s projects with Shri Ashtavinayak Films. Raj Mehta was threatened over the phone that if he made a film with Abhinav, he would have to face serious consequences. After this, he had to return the signing money for Ashtavinayak films. Later, the same incident happened with Viacom Pictures.
After Abhinav Kashyap’s statement came to light, Arbaaz and Sohail filed a defamation case against him in response. According to reports, after Dabangg, Abhinav Kashyap also got an offer to direct Dabangg 2. However, he said that he did not want Salman Khan’s interference in the direction of this film. After this, Arbaaz Khan directed Dabangg 2.
