According to a recent Bollywood Hungama report, a source close to the film has said that Vikrant Massey found his character in Don 3 lacking depth, due to which he has taken the bold decision to leave it. His character in the film was negative; he is a smooth-talking scamster. There were many action sequences with his lead actor Ranveer Singh in the film. Now, Farhan Akhtar will have to struggle for casting once again.
The makers have started looking for a new actor. According to the source, the makers are discussing this role with Vijay Deverakonda and Aditya Roy Kapur, although no response has been received from either of them so far.
Kiara Advani also left the film
When the film started, Kiara Advani was in the lead role with Ranveer Singh. But just after announcing the pregnancy, Kiara suddenly left the film to take a maternity break. The makers respected her decision. Kriti Sanon has now been signed for the film in place of Kiara.
Shooting will begin in January 2026
