
Security and intelligence authorities have released sketches of the alleged terrorists behind the Pahalgam incident. Their names are Asif Fauji, Suleman Shah, and Abu Talha. Intelligence sources said that the mastermind of this attack is Lashkar-e-Taiba’s deputy chief, Saifullah Khalid.
Lashkar-e-Taiba’s wing, The Resistance Front, i.e., TRF, has taken responsibility for this attack. Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Defense Minister, Khawaja Asif, claimed that we had no involvement in the strike.
Terrorists attacked Pahalgam on Tuesday afternoon, killing 27 people. More than 20 people are injured. The attack was carried out when a large number of tourists were present in Baisaran Valley. Among the dead are tourists from UP, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Odisha. One tourist each from Nepal and the UAE, and 2 locals were also killed.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah paid respect to those killed in the Pahalgam incident in Srinagar. Shah has reached the Baisaran Valley. Prime Minister Narendra Modi returned to India on Wednesday morning after a two-day visit to Saudi Arabia. He will convene the Cabinet Committee on Security.
This is the biggest attack in Jammu and Kashmir after the Pulwama attack on 14 February 2019. There was a suicide attack on the CRPF convoy in Pulwama, in which 40 soldiers were martyred. Jaish-e-Mohammed took responsibility for this.
Sketches of suspected terrorists released
Security agencies have released sketches of suspected terrorists of the Pahalgam attack. According to the agencies, Asif Fauji, Suleman Shah, and Abu Talha were involved in this attack. However, it is unclear whose photo it belongs to.
Intelligence stated that Saifullah is the mastermind of Lashkar.
Intelligence sources said that two foreign terrorists and two local terrorists were involved in the Pahalgam attack. According to sources, the mastermind behind the Pahalgam incident is Saifullah Khalid. He operates from Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK). Its location is said to be Rawalkot. Saifullah had also warned of the attack a month ago. A video from 2019 also went viral. In this video, Saifullah said that the Kashmir issue should not cool down.
When tourists started crying, mistaking the soldiers to be terrorists
When the Indian Army soldiers reached Baisaran Valley after the Pahalgam attack, the tourists present there mistook them for terrorists. This is because the attackers who opened fire were also wearing uniforms. When they saw the soldiers, women and children began to cry with folded hands. After this, the soldiers said that we are in the Indian Army. They assured the tourists of security. A video of this incident has surfaced.
