
Mumbai Crime Branch has arrested 5 members of the Lawrence Gang from the Andheri area. 7 pistols and 21 live cartridges have been seized from them. Giving this information on Wednesday, April 2, the police said that they suspect that a celebrity was the target of the gang.
Crime Branch officials said that based on special information, the Crime Branch team detained the members of the Lawrence Gang on Saturday. The motive behind their carrying weapons is being investigated.
The arrested people have been identified as Vikas Thakur, alias Vicky, Sumit Kumar Dilawar, Shreyas Yadav, Devendra Saxena, and Vivek Gupta. They are all residents of Rajasthan, Bihar, and Uttar Pradesh. Sumit Kumar and Vikas are history sheeters.
Salman Khan is constantly receiving threats from the Lawrence Gang. In such a situation, after the arrest of 5 members of the gang and the recovery of weapons from them, it is also being seen as a big threat to Salman Khan’s security.
Salman said – I will live as long as God-Allah has written
Earlier on March 26, Salman Khan broke his silence for the first time on the constant threats from the Lawrence gang. In the press meet of the film ‘Sikander’ in Mumbai, he said that I will definitely live as long as God-Allah has written. On the security being increased, Salman said, ‘Sometimes it becomes difficult to carry so many people with you.’
Salman also told the story of his pet dog. He said, ‘A long time ago we had a dog, Myson, he was very sweet. Once a thief came and took Myson with him after loving him.’
Salman gets Y+ category security; 11 soldiers remain with him all the time. Salman’s security was increased only after receiving threats from the Lawrence gang in 2023. He has been given Y+ category security by the Maharashtra government. 11 jawans are always with him, which includes one or two commandos and 2 PSOs.
There are always two vehicles to escort Salman’s car in front and behind. Apart from this, Salman’s car is also completely bulletproof.
8 months ago, on April 14, at around 5 am, 4 rounds were fired from a 7.6 bore gun in Salman Khan’s Galaxy apartment. After this, in January, the balcony of his apartment was made bulletproof. Also, high resolution cameras have been installed all around.
Sikander was shot amidst tight security
Salman shot the film Sikandar amidst these threats. Due to security, security was also increased on his set. No outsider was allowed to come on the set.
