Samay Raina, who was caught in the case of obscene comments on his parents, recently said in an event that he is very upset at this time. Samay said- Before leaving, I want to talk to you guys a couple of times. First and first, I want to thank everyone for coming here. The thing I want to say is that I am very upset at this time.
The video of this statement of Samay is going viral on social media. However, he did not give any statement on the India’s Got Latent controversy.
Know what is the matter
The controversy over stand-up comedian Samay Raina’s show ‘India’s Got Latent’ continues. Samay uploaded an episode of the show on his YouTube channel on February 8, in which YouTuber Ranveer Allahabadia said obscene things about parents and women.
As soon as the episode came out, the show and the people associated with it started getting fierce criticism. FIR was registered against Ranveer in many places including Maharashtra, and Assam. Apart from Samay, a case was also registered against 30 guests of this show, who had participated in the show from the first episode till now.
Clarification was given as the controversy increased, and all episodes deleted
After the controversy increased and the complaint was filed, Samay Raina wrote on social media-
I am unable to handle whatever is happening. I have removed all the videos of India’s Got Latent from my channel. My only intention was to make people laugh and give them happiness. I will fully cooperate with all the agencies so that their investigation can be done properly. Thank you.
On February 18, the Supreme Court heard the appeal of Ranveer Allahabadia in the obscene comment case. The court had given relief to Allahabadia from arrest but also reprimanded him.
The court said that the language of your comment is perverted and the mind is dirty. This has shamed not only the parents but also the daughters and sisters.
Justice Suryakant and Justice N Koteshwar Singh said that several FIRs have been registered against Allahabadiya, but now no case will be registered against him in this matter.
