Veteran actor Anupam Kher recently took to the social media platform X to share that his account was automatically locked a few days ago. After the account was restored, he questioned the platform’s owner, Elon Musk, seeking an explanation for the incident.

Kher posted a screenshot of his locked X handle, which displayed a message stating, “Your account has been locked because X has received a Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) notice for a post shared on your account.”
Anupam Kher’s Message to Elon Musk
Following the restoration of his account, the actor addressed Elon Musk in a post, expressing his confusion. He wrote, “Dear X, while my account has now been restored, I was shocked to see it locked. I have been on this platform since September 2007 and have always adhered to X’s (formerly Twitter) rules and copyright policies. I find this situation quite absurd and would like to know which rule my post violated. Thank you!” He also tagged Elon Musk in the post, though the tech billionaire has yet to respond.

On the work front, Anupam Kher was recently seen in Kangana Ranaut’s film Emergency, which hit theaters on January 17. The film depicts the 21 months from 1975 to 1977, during which former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi declared a nationwide emergency. Additionally, Kher has announced his next film, where he will be seen alongside Prabhas. However, the title of the project remains undisclosed.
