Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahadia starrer film ‘Sky Force’ was released in theaters yesterday. The film opened with more than 11 crores on the first day. Now the film is expected to earn well on the weekend.
Abhishek Anil Kapoor and Sandeep Kewlani’s action drama film Sky Force was released in theaters yesterday, the first week of Republic Day. According to SecNilk, this film starring Akshay Kumar, Veer Pahariya, Sara Ali Khan, and Nimrat Kaur earned more than ₹ 11 crores in India on the first day. According to the report of the SecNilk website, Sky Force earned around 11.63 crores in India on its opening day. The 2D version of the film had an occupancy of 10.26% for the morning show, 14.12% for the afternoon, and 22.76% for the evening show. The total share of IMAX 2D versions was 14.82%.

Sky Force is directed by Maddock Films produced and presented by Dinesh Vijan, Amar Kaushik, and Jyoti Deshpande under Jio Studios, a perfect film to be based on the Sargodha air base attack that was conducted by India during the 1965 Indo-Pak air war. It was officially announced in 2023, and shooting started at a fast pace. Talking about the film, Vir Pahadia who debuted with it said, ‘I think it is a very personal story. It is a very human story. And it is about family. It is about brotherhood. It is about friendship and loyalty. So, I urge everyone to watch this film to learn something new.
It is a very serious character.’ Referring to his role based on the late Squadron Leader Ajjamada Boppaya Devayya, Akshay spoke about doing patriotic films and said, “I am very fortunate that I got to play so many characters. God is very kind, I got to play Lord Krishna and Lord Shiva… what more can I ask for? If I am getting such a good opportunity, you feel I should let it go because some people say, ‘Why do you do a patriotic film?’ Why not.”
