THROWBACK: When Shah Rukh Khan Confessed to Feeling ‘Alone at Night’; ‘Kuch na kuch dimag mein chalta hai, dil…’
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who is currently preparing for his upcoming action thriller King, once opened up about feeling lonely at night and getting very little sleep.
Shah Rukh Khan, one of India’s most beloved actors, is not only admired for his acting talent but also for his charismatic personality and candidness. Let’s revisit a moment when SRK revealed his late-night loneliness, sharing that his mind and heart were often occupied during those hours.
In a past episode of The Anupam Kher Show, host Anupam Kher asked Shah Rukh whether he ever felt alone at night. SRK candidly admitted that he did, revealing that he typically only slept for three to four hours each night.
He explained that he often stayed up late talking with his wife and kids, which meant they, too, went to bed late. However, even after they had fallen asleep, Shah Rukh remained awake. “I feel alone at night,” he confessed. King Khan also mentioned that he believes it’s common for creative individuals to be more active during the night.
SRK further elaborated, saying, “In the silence of the night, when everything is quiet, something always seems to be running through my mind, something touches my heart.” He also shared that during these quiet hours, he sometimes reads, writes, or watches TV. “But yeah, nights are lonely,” he concluded.
On the professional front, Shah Rukh Khan made a spectacular return to the big screen with Pathaan in 2023. He continued to wow audiences with Jawan and Dunki. Now, SRK is gearing up to begin filming for his next movie, King, which will mark his first collaboration with his daughter, Suhana Khan.
King is an action thriller directed by Sujoy Ghosh and co-produced by Gauri Khan and Siddharth Anand. The film reportedly features Abhishek Bachchan in a negative role, with Abhay Verma also part of the cast. According to an exclusive report, Shah Rukh’s character in the movie will have gray shades.
