No Entry 2: Fardeen Khan Speaks on Not Being Part of the Sequel to the Iconic Comedy; ‘You Should Ask Boney Kapoor’

Fardeen Khan has finally addressed the speculation about his absence from the highly anticipated sequel to the 2005 hit comedy No Entry. During a recent interview, the actor confirmed that he will not be reprising his role in No Entry 2, and shared that the new installment will feature an entirely fresh cast.

Fardeen disclosed to Bollywood Hungama that neither he nor the original ensemble cast have received any requests to return for the follow-up. He noted that while the film has been officially announced, it will be headlined by a brand-new lineup of actors.Fardeen made a lighthearted comment in response to the question of why he wasn’t working on the project: “You should ask Boney Kapoor about that.”

Reflecting on his experience with the first No Entry film, Fardeen recalled that it was his first time diving into full-fledged comedy, a genre he wasn’t initially familiar with. He admitted that although the role required him to step out of his comfort zone, it ultimately gave him a sense of freedom as an actor. Despite his initial hesitation, producer Boney Kapoor was confident in his abilities and helped guide him through the process.

No Entry 2, the follow-up, will be directed by Anees Bazmee and produced by Boney Kapoor once more. The original film featured an ensemble cast including Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Bipasha Basu, Lara Dutta, Celina Jaitly, Esha Deol, and Boman Irani, who all contributed to the movie’s massive success.

Fardeen, who has been making headlines with his acting comeback, is currently focused on his latest project, Visfot. In a recent chat, he and filmmaker Sanjay Gupta discussed the Kookie Gulati-directed crime thriller, which was released on September 6 on Jio Cinema. Gupta expressed admiration for Fardeen, attributing his appreciation for the actor to his father, the legendary Feroz Khan. “I have the utmost respect for Khan saab,” he declared. Much of my filmmaking style is influenced by his work, so collaborating with Fardeen felt like a natural connection.”

The crime thriller Visfot also stars Riteish Deshmukh, Priya Bapat, and Krystle D’Souza in pivotal roles.
