Nivin Pauly Denies Allegations of Rape: ‘I Don’t Know the Accuser; I’m Certain of My Innocence’

Tuesday night, Malayalam actor Nivin Pauly called an urgent press conference to answer the allegations of rape made against him. During the press conference, Pauly firmly stated that he is unaware of the woman making the accusation and insisted that he is innocent. He also vowed to fight the charges legally and emphasized his commitment to proving his innocence, regardless of how long it takes.

“I just came across this news and I don’t know this woman. I’ve never seen her before. These allegations are completely baseless. The situation is distressing, especially because I have a family. I decided to hold this press conference because I am 100% confident that I am not guilty. An FIR has been filed, and I will handle this case through legal channels. Pauly stated, according to a recent article, “I will stop at nothing to establish the truth, but this process will take time.”

For those unfamiliar with the situation, the Kerala film industry was left in shock when Nivin Pauly was accused of rape. The case was filed against him for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman under the guise of offering her a role in a film. According to Malayalam regional channel Reporter Live, the complainant has accused six individuals of sexually assaulting her, all under the pretense of providing an acting opportunity. The incident reportedly took place in Dubai last November.

Nivin Pauly has been identified as the sixth accused in the complaint, with Malayalam producer AK Sunil listed as the second accused. The Special Investigation Team (SIT), which was established by the government to look into these fresh accusations, will get the file from the Oonnukal police, who have registered it.

The Bangalore Days actor quickly issued a statement denying the claims, labeling them as ‘baseless.’ These accusations against Pauly have emerged amid the ongoing wave of the Me Too movement within the Kerala film industry.
