A young woman working as a Chartered Accountant (CA) in Pune’s EY company died a few days ago due to work pressure. She used to work hard day and night to meet the target given by the company, due to which she died. The mother of 27-year-old Anna Sebastian Perayil had made the allegation. The investigation of this case is still ongoing. Meanwhile, another shocking incident has happened in Lucknow. Sadaf Fatima, who worked as an additional deputy vice-president at HDFC Bank, died here. Employees say that the reason for this is also work pressure. It is being told that while working in the bank, she fell from the chair and died on the spot.

Fatima was immediately taken to the nearest hospital, but she was declared dead there. Her body has been sent for postmortem. Reacting to this incident, Samajwadi Party (SP) President Akhilesh Yadav said that work pressure is the same in government and private jobs. Employees are working under ‘compulsion’. That is why this problem is arising. The condition of employees is worse than bonded laborers. Because they do not even have the right to speak. Akhilesh Yadav said that the government should give ideas to solve problems, not baseless advice.

After the death of the Pune employee, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said, ‘You can study anything, do a job. But inner strength is necessary to withstand pressure. This can be achieved through spirituality. Believing in God increases inner strength. Educational institutions should teach divinity and spirituality. ‘ Keeping this in mind, Akhilesh Yadav has now said this. But how Fatima died will be revealed only after the postmortem report comes.

Target, deadline… this is common in most institutions, and companies. This much target has to be completed in this much time, this is your deadline… This much target has to be achieved in this much time, do anything. You have to do it, many organizations, and companies give such targets to their employees. Especially new employees have more work pressure. Sometimes companies give targets, and sometimes employees themselves work overtime to get praise from the boss and put in all their efforts under pressure. This increases the pressure on the heart and causes heart attack, experts say.
