Inspector General of Police of Pakistan’s Punjab province, Dr. Usman Anwar said that the police are investigating Tamba’s murder from all aspects. As to the First Information Report, Junaid Sarfaraz stated that both he and his older brother were at the Tamba Sanant Nagar residence when the incident occurred.

Chandigarh: Amir Sarfaraz Tamba, who murdered Indian citizen Sarabjit Singh, who was jailed in Pakistan, was killed by an unknown assailant on Sunday. Sarabjit Singh’s daughter Swapandeep Kaur has reacted to this murder of Tamba. In an interview given to a private channel, Swapndeep said that at first, he felt satisfied with this news, but then I thought that this was not justice. He said that we wanted to find out why my father was murdered. According to Sarabjit Singh Beti, the Pakistan government is behind the murder of Amir Sarfaraz Tamba. Sarabjit Singh’s daughter said that if three or four people were involved in my father’s murder, then it is the same Pakistan government that is covering it up by killing Tamba to hide the conspiracy that took place at that time.

Sarabjit Singh’s sister fought a long battle
Sarabjit Singh was found guilty of allegedly taking part in several bomb blasts in Pakistan’s Punjab province in 1990. He was given the death penalty. However, Singh’s family in India says he was a victim of mistaken identity and crossed the border unknowingly. His sister Dalbir Kaur had fought a long battle for his release from the neighboring country but was unsuccessful.

Prisoners attacked Sarabjit Singh
On April 26, 2013, he was attacked by prisoners in Lahore’s Kot Lakhpat jail. After which he was declared brain dead on 1 May. He died the next day. In this case, in the year 2018, a court acquitted the accused Amir Sarfaraz Tamba and Mudassar due to lack of evidence. Amir Sarfarar was close to Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) founder Hafiz Saeed. He was killed by unknown gunmen in Lahore on Sunday. Motorcycle-riding assailants attacked Tamba at his residence in Sanant Nagar. He was brought to the hospital in a critical state, where he passed away. According to reports, Tamba had four bullet wounds on his body, two each in the chest and legs.
